We have created a select group of talented, custom home builders to build the homes at Golden Oak. These beautifully crafted homes require extraordinary skill and design expertise to meet the high standards of Golden Oak, so only a limited number of home sites will be released each year. We anticipate the total build-out to be approximately 450 homes.
What is the price range of the homes at Golden Oak?
We anticipate that homes will range from approximately $1.5 - 8 million.
What type of homes will be offered for sale?
Initially, three types of detached single-family homes will be offered for sale from our custom home builders.
Village Homes Capturing the romantic look of a Mediterranean village, these stylish Tuscan inspired homes will be located adjacent to the private proposed clubhouse on approximately one-quarter acre home sites.
Estate Homes Located on approximately one-half acre home sites, Estate Homes will offer a variety of architectural styles including Tuscan, Spanish Revival, Venetian, Italianate, Dutch Colonial and Island Colonial.
Grand Estate Homes A limited number of Grand Estate Homes will be offered on approximately three-quarter acre home sites. Designs are consistent with Estate Home architectural styles. Grand Estate homes are designed to accommodate the needs of large and extended families.
Are there specific architectural standards?
Yes, the homes at Golden Oak will follow strict architectural guidelines. All plan designs will be required to undergo an architectural review to provide flexibility and creativity in the design of each residence, while also complementing the natural. The architectural review process is intended to protect the long term integrity and vision for all those who have chosen to purchase a home in Golden Oak.
Do I receive any Disney benefits or privileges as a homeowner?
A suite of in-park benefits, private VIP transportation, access to select special-event tickets and community-hosted activities throughout the year highlight a Walt Disney World® Resort privilege package created expressly for families at Golden Oak.
What role does Disney have in building the homes and the community?
Walt Disney Imagineering created the master plan for the community. Golden Oak Realty, a Disney company, will manage the sale of the homes and home sites. The homes will be built by unaffiliated custom home builders who contract directly with home buyers.
When will the first homes be offered for sale?
Golden Oak Realty will offer a limited collection of single family custom homes priced from approximately $1.5 - 8 million, with fewer than 30 home sites available for sale this year (2010). Priority Reservation deposits are now being accepted, with the first completed homes projected for 2011.
What is a Priority Reservation List?
The Priority Reservation List contains the names of potential homebuyers indicating a strong interest in purchasing a home at Golden Oak. Names of interested buyers are added to the list in the order in which their refundable $25,000 reservation deposit and fully executed Lot Release Priority Agreement is received. As lots become available, individuals will be contacted in the order in which they are on the list.
What is Four Seasons involvement in the community?
It is anticipated that Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World® Resort will be a part of the Golden Oak community, and will feature a 445-room hotel, spa and 18-hole championship golf course. The design of the hotel is currently underway. Residents will have access to select amenities at the proposed Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World® Resort including: the 18-hole golf course, restaurants, facilities for private events and a full service spa.
What municipality governs Golden Oak?
Golden Oak represents the first opportunity for individuals to enjoy whole homeownership at the Walt Disney World® Resort. Golden Oak residents are under the governance of Orange County, Florida.
Do you buy the home site or are they offered under a long-term lease?
All homes and home sites at Golden Oak will be offered for sale only. Ownership will be conveyed by means of a deed which will be recorded in the public records.
Is this timeshare or fractional ownership?
No, all of our homes and home sites at Golden Oak will be offered for whole ownership only.
